San Miguel's 'Little Summer' is settling into the Canary Islands, bringing a thermal rise that could push maximum temperatures to around 31 degrees in some inland areas, according to forecasts from the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet). This Sunday, September 20, generally cloudy skies are expected, tending to become less cloudy from the morning in the eastern islands.
The probability of weak precipitation is low and limited to the north of Tenerife and La Palma. Regarding temperatures, they will remain with little change or experience a slight rise in inland areas. The wind will blow between light and moderate from the northeast, with breezes on the southwest of the mountainous islands.
The forecast for the week of September 21 to 27 suggests it will be slightly warmer than normal in much of the country, although with uncertainty. Precipitation is expected in the peninsular south, while there is no clear trend for the rest of the territory.
By island, cloudy skies are expected to clear in Lanzarote and Fuerteventura. In Gran Canaria, there will be cloudy intervals in the north and east, clearing during the day. Tenerife will have generally cloudy skies, except on the central peaks, with the possibility of weak rainfall in the north. La Gomera and La Palma will also have cloudy skies with a low probability of light rain, while El Hierro will be generally cloudy.
