The union decided to be present at the port after publicly stating the “urgent” need for clear protocols, adequate resources, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for port workers.
CSIF emphasized the importance of ensuring the protection of all Port Authority staff, especially those with higher exposure, such as the Port Police, operations personnel, maintenance, and auxiliary services.
During their visit, the union verified the existence of biological protection PPE, including FFP3 masks, gloves, goggles, and barrier material. Preventive procedures for biological risks in health alert situations have also been activated.

Following the verification, CSIF assured that it will maintain active vigilance in the province's ports to ensure no worker is exposed without adequate protection, stressing that transparency and anticipation are crucial in any health risk scenario.
Finally, the union reaffirmed its commitment to defending occupational safety and demanded that any operational decision related to this vessel be made with the utmost technical and preventive rigor, pledging to continue informing staff and the public about the situation's evolution.
