A 75-year-old man has been seriously injured after his vehicle plunged into the Lomo de Oliva ravine, in the municipality of Arico, south of Tenerife.

A spectacular accident that occurred at midday in the south of Tenerife mobilized emergency teams. A 75-year-old man has suffered considerable injuries after his car fell into the Lomo de Oliva ravine, located in the municipality of Arico.
The incident took place around 2:45 PM, when the Emergency and Safety Coordinating Center received multiple alerts. The area's difficult terrain complicated rescue efforts, requiring a swift and coordinated intervention by firefighters.
Firefighters descended to the bottom of the ravine to rescue the driver from the wreckage of the vehicle. Once freed and attended to at the scene by medical services, it was confirmed that the victim had sustained severe trauma.
Due to the severity of his injuries, medical teams arranged for his immediate transfer to the Hospital Universitario Nuestra Señora de La Candelaria, where he remains admitted.
