The City Council of Tacoronte, through the Department of Municipal Works and Services, has finished a series of reform and improvement actions at the social center in the Barranco las Lajas neighborhood. The main objective has been to refurbish the facilities, making them more accessible and functional for residents.
The project, which involved an investment of approximately 35,000 euros, has addressed a wide range of defects and deficiencies in the various rooms and common areas of the building, located on Carril Alto street. Improvements include a comprehensive renovation of the restrooms, adapting them to current regulations and for ostomized individuals, as well as upgrading the electrical installation and making adjustments to interior carpentry.
The works also included painting rooms and demolishing the existing bar on the ground floor, creating a more open space with laminate flooring. In the final phase of the work, a small office will be built in the current social center office, which will also be relocated to the former storage area.
“"These improvements are important and have been designed according to the requests and needs conveyed by the residents."
These actions were promoted in coordination with the Department of Neighborhood Associations and Citizen Participation.
