Telde's institutional float for the Romería del Pino in Teror, designed by Alejandro Marchena, emphasizes a traditional representation of the municipality's agricultural identity.
Telde will be present on September 7th at the traditional Offering-Romería of Nuestra Señora del Pino in Teror, with an institutional float that this year will focus on a more traditional representation of the municipality's identity and its agricultural history.
The proposal has been designed by Alejandro Marchena, a graphic designer trained at the Higher School of Design of Gran Canaria. His career includes work linked to festive and cultural events, and the Telde City Council is backing local talent with this young and contemporary vision that does not forget its roots.
The float will be presided over by the logo for the 675th anniversary of Telde's foundation, an emblem that has accompanied the city throughout this year in its visual identity.
The design seeks to revive the collective memory of Telde as an agricultural city, highlighting the importance of fertile vegas and the production of fruits and vegetables. Therefore, these products, along with floral decoration, will play a significant role in the composition, aiming for an aesthetic connected to the municipality's history.
References to falconry and other traditional elements will also be incorporated to showcase the land, agricultural work, nature, and the customs of Telde's residents.

Telde's participation is promoted by the Department of Festivals and Fairs, headed by Miguel Rodríguez, which aims for the float to be an institutional representation and a showcase of the municipality's history and identity.

The float will occupy the seventh position in the 74th edition of the Ofrenda-Romería del Pino.
More than 600 people will travel from Telde to Teror thanks to 11 free buses provided by the City Council. Those participating must wear traditional Canarian attire.
