Residents of the Las Tabladas neighborhood in La Aldea de San Nicolás experienced a scare this Sunday due to a brush fire that came close to affecting homes in the area. The fire originated in a low-lying scrubland area near the houses, according to sources from the 112 emergency services.
Following a call from a resident, various security and environmental agencies were activated, including firefighters, an ambulance from the SUC, the Guardia Civil, and the Local Police. The fire was extinguished around 4:30 PM.
The incident, which spread over approximately 30 square meters, had no significant impact on the homes beyond smoke, which necessitated opening windows and doors for ventilation.
Medical services attended to several individuals who presented with mild symptoms of anxiety, but no one required treatment for intoxication.
