The Local Police of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria intercepted a moped in Jinámar whose driver lacked a driving license and disobeyed a police stop order, after detecting that its passenger was riding without a helmet.

The police intervention began in Jinámar upon observing that the passenger of a moped was riding without the required helmet. Officers from the District Unit attempted to stop the vehicle, but the driver ignored the instruction and continued driving.
Shortly after, officers managed to intercept the moped. During the check of the driver's documentation and status, it was confirmed that he lacked the necessary driving license. For this reason, proceedings were initiated for a suspected offense against road safety.
The operation, which started as a traffic violation for the lack of a helmet, led to the driver being investigated for driving without a license and for disobeying the order to stop. Officers also processed the corresponding citations for other detected infractions.
This incident once again highlights the importance of road safety in the Jinámar area and the need to monitor compliance with regulations, such as helmet use on mopeds and motorcycles.
