A man was arrested in the La Feria neighborhood of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria for alleged public health offenses after over 100 grams of hashish were found in his vehicle.

Officers from the Citizen Security Unit of the National Police arrested an individual on Sargento Provisional street, in the La Feria neighborhood, after locating an amount of hashish that exceeds the limits for personal consumption. The operation took place around 8:30 PM during a routine preventive patrol.
The officers noticed a car parked illegally, obstructing traffic. Upon approaching to identify the driver and issue a citation, they observed evident nervousness in the man, which prompted a more thorough inspection of both the individual and the vehicle.
During the vehicle search, a hidden rectangular package was discovered. When weighed at the scene, it amounted to 104 grams of hashish. The seized quantity led to the suspect's arrest for alleged public health offenses related to drug trafficking.
This action is part of the regular surveillance and prevention operations carried out by the Citizen Security Unit in various neighborhoods of the Gran Canarian capital to combat retail drug trafficking and enhance public safety.
