A mysterious machine, composed of axes, belts, and gears, becomes the heart of the stage play 'Artilusio'. This apparatus beats in time with the heart of Greta, a heartwarming elderly woman surrounded by books and fantasies. Every time her assistant Pina listens to her fragile heart, the machine activates, giving rise to the creation of imaginary worlds including palaces, whaling ships, chivalrous giants, and fantastic journeys.
The theatrical work transforms the act of reading into a territory of play and revelation. Greta's boundless imagination has the power to transform reality, drawing Pina into a universe of living stories. 'Artilusio' is presented as a tribute to fantasy, to books, and to the human capacity to perceive life from a different perspective.
The stage for this production is the Plaza de Canarias, located in the central area of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, between the El Muelle shopping center and Mesa y López avenue. This space, which has hosted various events and festivities, features 'El intercambiador' in its underground levels, a bus station.
The play will be presented next Friday, September 18th, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
