The Gran Canaria event, organized by FanMotor, is part of the Canarias Rallysprint Championship and the Las Palmas Provincial Championship, marking the beginning of the final stretch of the regional series.
Starting numbers 1 and 2 go to the Ford Fiesta R5 MKII of Fran Suárez and Alejandro Rodríguez, and the Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X of Jesús Tacoronte and María Sáez, both teams aiming for top positions.
Local representation is highlighted by Julián Falcón and Aridane Dávila driving a Škoda Fabia R5, competing before their home crowd on a modified course. From Tenerife, Adrián Chávez and Cristian Pérez will participate with their Suzuki Swift Rally2-Kit.
The event will also witness the debut of Ayoze Benítez and Patricia González in a Škoda Fabia R5, and Eduardo Morales and Daniel García in an Alpine A110 RGT+, adding technical appeal to the competition.
The entry list is completed by a variety of vehicles such as the Peugeot 208 Rally4 of Álvaro Santana and Juan Monzón, the Ford Escort MKII of Anastasio Suárez and María González, and several BMW M3 cars.
The Junior Cup of the Canarian Federation of Motorsport will also be represented, with teams like Jorge Granado and Daniel Hernández (Citroën Saxo VTS), and other participants in the promotional series of the Interinsular Federation of Motorsport of Las Palmas.
The competition will consist of six special stages totaling 44.4 timed kilometers. There will be three runs of the Santidad Alta-La Cruz stage (7.39 km) and three runs of the La Cruz-Santidad Alta stage (7.41 km), including passage through the Los Chorros junction.
Administrative and technical verifications will take place on Friday, August 28, at the Municipal Sports Center of Arucas. The event is decisive as it is one of the final rounds of the regional and provincial championships.
