A 68-year-old woman was rescued this Wednesday on Las Canteras beach, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, after suffering cardiac arrest in the La Puntilla area.

The incident occurred during the San Juan festivities, on a day marked by good weather and a large number of bathers along the capital's coastline. The rapid action of Red Cross personnel and an ambulance from the Canary Emergency Service (SUC) was decisive in attending to the affected individual.
Emergency medical services were activated to provide urgent assistance to the woman, who was subsequently transferred to the Doctor Negrín University Hospital. Las Canteras beach, one of the busiest spots in the capital, was particularly crowded that day.
