The practical exercise, held on the afternoon of Monday, September 14th, involved the semi-rigid boat L.S. Motala and primarily aimed to test and reinforce the action guidelines and rapid response procedures outlined in the capital's Coastal Security Plan.
During the training, rescue and lifeguard teams practiced protocols for searching and locating persons in distress, activating the Emergency Plan by the Beach Command, and coordinating complex maneuvers such as aerial hoisting and evacuation of victims, as well as attending to supposed casualties in rocky and breaking wave areas.
The Department of Maritime City emphasized the importance of these regular joint training exercises to guarantee an effective, coordinated response with maximum safety guarantees along the city's coastline and beaches.
