The municipal departments of Human Resources and Accounting in Telde are working with priority on the payroll for August. The application of the 0.5% salary increase regularization required an extraordinary procedure that has affected usual timelines.
The salary update necessitated the processing of a specific file and technical adjustments to the payroll management software. After creating a backup, parameters were adapted to calculate the increase, and the system must now restore original data to continue the ordinary process.
This exceptional circumstance has delayed the start of August payroll preparation. Human Resources is working intensively to complete the file and submit it to Municipal Accounting, speeding up the administrative procedure for payment authorization.
Both departments have committed to the Mayor's Office to dedicate all necessary resources, even reorganizing workdays and rest periods if needed, to minimize the impact on the municipal staff.
The City Council anticipates completing the process within the usual payment period and, specifically, before September 5th, which this year falls on a Saturday, reducing operational margins.
The mayor of Telde, Juan Antonio Peña, has apologized to the workers for the inconvenience caused, acknowledging the importance of payrolls for families. He emphasized the absolute priority of resolving the situation transparently.
Peña has particularly thanked the public employees in Human Resources and Accounting, and their managers, for their efforts in expediting the process. He also recognized the constructive attitude of union representatives who have shown interest and conveyed staff concerns.
Concurrently, the Telde City Council is already processing the next salary update, corresponding to a 2.5% increase, aiming to anticipate necessary procedures and minimize future payroll incidents.
