The Telde City Council has announced its adherence to the call from the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP). The objective is to manifest the support and closeness of Spanish municipalism towards the Autonomous City of Ceuta and its residents, in light of the current situation it faces.
As part of this initiative, Plaza de San Juan has been designated as the meeting point. The event is scheduled for Wednesday, September 2nd, at 7:00 PM. All individuals, institutional representatives, collectives, and entities wishing to freely join this gesture of support for the people of Ceuta are invited.
This gathering coincides with the celebration of Ceuta Day and aligns with the FEMP's proposal for Spanish municipalities to express their solidarity simultaneously. The Telde City Council aims to give this event an institutional, civic, and respectful character, utilizing an emblematic space to highlight closeness with Ceuta.
The initiative seeks to project a message of unity and solidarity from the local level. Municipalism, as the administration closest to citizens, once again serves as a meeting space for situations affecting other territories within the country.
The City Council invites all interested parties to participate in this gesture on Wednesday, September 2nd, starting at 7:00 PM, in Plaza de San Juan, always maintaining a peaceful and respectful character. With this adherence, Telde joins other Spanish municipalities in sending a message of affection and support to Ceuta and its people from Gran Canaria.
