The Paco Artiles Municipal Sports Center in Telde will reopen its doors on Wednesday, October 7, with a reopening ceremony. Sports activities will commence the following day, Thursday, October 8. The facility thus resumes its operations with a new service organization focused on greater flexibility and adapting the offering to user needs.
The Canary Islands Swimming Federation, the managing entity, plans to open registrations within the next few hours, likely on Friday, through both online and in-person channels.
One of the main novelties will be the option to choose between different services independently, avoiding single fees that include unused benefits. Users can contract the gym, pool, or directed activities separately, or opt for combined service packages, allowing each person to decide what they use and how much.
A special rate of 25 euros is introduced for individuals over 65 years old, granting access to the gym, pool, and directed activities, aiming to facilitate the incorporation of this group into sports practice.
For those exclusively using the gym, the new monthly fee will be 28 euros, with no limit on daily or weekly access. This measure is designed for individuals who incorporate physical activity into their regular routine, allowing for a cost per access of less than one euro with frequent use.
Single-entry tickets will also be available for six euros for those who do not wish to commit to a monthly fee or plan occasional use of the facility.
The sports center will maintain extensive opening hours: Mondays to Fridays from 06:30 to 22:30, and Saturdays and Sundays from 08:00 to 16:00. This wide range of hours, combined with unlimited gym access, will allow users to organize their sports activities with greater freedom.
The reopening of the Paco Artiles marks the return of sports activity to a key facility in Telde, introducing greater flexibility in contracting and various access options so that price and modality are not barriers to practicing sports.
