The team from El Rosario was the sole representative from the Canary Islands in this significant national competition. During the meeting, the mayor congratulated the athletes on their achievement and highlighted the team's hard work and skill level. U15 players Emma Ramos and Zoe de Olano were present to represent the team, alongside their president and coach, Roberto Cabrera, and the Councilor for Sports, Juan Jesús del Rosario.
The team that competed in the Copa Iberdrola also included Sirine Ibrahim, Carla González, Sulimar Cabrera, Victoria Castro, and Tamara Rodríguez, who contributed to securing this notable third place. Escolástico Gil emphasized the importance of grassroots categories, underscoring how these successes foster the development of young athletes and instill values such as effort, discipline, and sportsmanship.
This reception also holds special significance as it coincides with a notable year for the Club Bádminton Tenzul El Rosario, which will celebrate its twentieth anniversary in 2026. Over two decades, the club has been instrumental in promoting badminton among the residents of El Rosario.
