The Councilor for Ecological Transition of the El Rosario City Council, Fidel Vázquez, participated last week as a speaker at the III National Summit of Energy Communities, held in Seville. The councilor presented the municipality's experience in establishing the CEL 'El Rosario Solar', which already has around two hundred members, including individuals and companies.
The summit, organized by the Spanish Photovoltaic Union (UNEF) and the Andalusian Energy Agency within the framework of the European project REC4EU, emphasized the promotion of energy communities as a tool to bring the energy transition closer to citizens and businesses.
The meeting brought together representatives from public administrations, companies, and energy communities from across Spain, underscoring the growth of this model to ensure its economic, social, and environmental benefits remain within the territory.
