The cultural initiative is part of the commemoration of Fimucité's twentieth anniversary, a leading European event dedicated to film scores. The program is family-oriented, highlighting music and the work of international composers.
The mayor of the capital, José Manuel Bermúdez, emphasized the importance of bringing culture to all neighborhoods and transforming public spaces into family meeting points. He underscored Fimucité's value over its two decades, promoting the work of composers who move audiences.
For her part, the councilor for the Centro-Ifara District, Purificación Dávila, noted that the aim of these summer nights is to revitalize public spaces with accessible, quality proposals for children, youth, and adults within their own neighborhoods.
The film schedule at Residencial Anaga includes: on Friday, July 3rd (8:00 PM), the screening of The Wild Robot, with a score by award-winning composer Kris Bowers; on Saturday, July 4th (8:00 PM), How to Train Your Dragon, with a celebrated epic score by John Powell; and on Sunday, July 5th (7:00 PM), Hugo, directed by Martin Scorsese, with music by Oscar-winner Howard Shore.
This cycle marks the beginning of Fimucité's activities on the island, a festival that over its 20-year history has gathered leading figures in global film music creation.
