The final matchday of the Disa Gobierno de Canarias regional league is marred by a claim from the Tenerife club Rosario de Valle Guerra, which aims to secure second position in the standings through administrative channels.

The clash between Almogáren and Rosario de Valle Guerra, part of Group C of the top division, will take place this Saturday at 8:00 PM, with all matches kicking off simultaneously. While the home team is competing for first or second place, the Tenerife side, already third, hopes to finish second to improve their playoff schedule and avoid facing Chimbesque in the quarterfinals.
The controversy stems from Rosario's complaint to the Disciplinary Committee and subsequently to Appeals, regarding the alleged improper alignment of Cristo Hernández 'Pollo del Callejón VI'. The Tenerife club had hoped to have four points deducted from Almogáren, but both committees rejected the claim.
The Canary Islands Federation had issued a clarification note on March 23, 2026, stating that wrestlers sanctioned after the fifth matchday would serve their suspension in the sixth, regardless of when the latter was played, as it had been postponed due to adverse weather. Callejón VI served his suspension in the sixth matchday, as per the federation's clarification, and not the seventh, which took place earlier.
Despite the rulings, Rosario remains hopeful that the Canary Islands Disciplinary Sports Committee will rule in their favor in a third instance. The Gran Canarian team, however, does not anticipate a change, as the federation had already warned about this contingency. This claim has created a tense atmosphere for the wrestling match in Valsequillo, with the Tenerife team's hope of securing second place in the competition.
This situation has soured the atmosphere leading up to Saturday's match. Unlike previous encounters, a neutral referee, Samuel Cabrera from La Palma, will officiate the event.
