The Canary archipelago sees a boost in employment with the officialization of a long-awaited announcement. Following its publication in the Official State Gazette (BOE), the process to incorporate dozens of professionals into the municipal workforce of Santa Cruz de Tenerife is now open. The resolution, dated May 29, 2026, adheres to the guidelines of Provincial Official Gazette (BOP) number 64, and once the state publicity procedure is completed, the administrative machinery will begin processing applications.
The selection process is designed to strengthen key areas of citizen services and internal administration. The provision of 38 job positions within the General Administration scale, specifically the Auxiliary sub-scale, is being processed. Of these positions, 24 are for Administrative Assistants, 8 for Information Managers, 5 for Administrative Assistants assigned to Registry Assistance Offices, and 1 technical position for a Supervising Information Manager.
Unlike traditional competitive examinations, the City Council has opted for a selection procedure based on merit. This means that the evaluation will focus exclusively on academic achievements, prior work experience, and verifiable training courses that applicants duly prove within the specified timeframe.
The deadline for submitting applications is 15 working days, starting from the day after the publication in the BOE, which occurred this Monday, June 8. Therefore, the official registration period begins this Tuesday, June 9. It is recommended to gather documentation immediately, as working days exclude weekends and holidays, leaving a narrow window for completing applications either online or in person.
Interested individuals should consult the official platforms of the Santa Cruz de Tenerife City Council to review the specific qualification requirements, administrative fees, and official application forms. The council has also reminded that all provisional lists of admitted candidates, tribunal scores, and error correction requests will be published through the information channels outlined in the BOP's regulatory document.
