Emergency services from the Government of the Canary Islands intervened on Saturday afternoon in a fire declared in the municipality of Santa Cruz de La Palma. The fire originated in the vicinity of a well-known pedestrian route on the island, specifically at the start of the Molinos de Bellido path.

The proximity to the vegetation and transit area prompted an immediate alert to the extinguishing and security teams. According to the Coordinating Center for Security and Emergencies (CECOES) 112, the alert was received in the afternoon, and emergency resources were quickly dispatched to the scene.

The security operation is actively working on the perimeter of Los Molinos de Bellido to prevent the spread of flames. Authorities have not yet detailed the affected area or the causes of the fire.
