More than 6,500 candidates will gather at the Tenerife Fairgrounds (Recinto Ferial de Tenerife) to compete for permanent positions in groups A and C. The official announcement, published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife (BOP), marks a milestone for the municipality by resuming public employment offerings after more than twenty years.
The exams will be conducted through staggered calls throughout the day. According to Councilor for Presidency and Planning, Carla Cabrera, the test schedule is divided into four shifts: 8:00 AM for Administrative Assistants (Group C2), 11:00 AM for Administrators (C1), 2:30 PM for Management Technicians (A2), and 5:30 PM for General Administration Technicians (A1).
To ensure the neutrality and security of the process, the exams will be escorted by police officers to the fairgrounds.
The public employment offer, which includes both open competition and internal promotion, breaks down into 29 positions for administrative assistants (C2, open competition), 13 for administrators (C1, internal promotion), 8 for General Administration Technicians (A1, open competition), 6 for administrators (C1, open competition), and 5 for management technicians (A2, open competition).
The Mayor of La Laguna, Luis Yeray Gutiérrez, highlighted the significant interest generated, with over 6,500 applications received. He emphasized the importance of this generational change given the aging workforce and anticipated retirements within the local administration.
