The new main headquarters of the Cabildo's Art, Culture, and Tourism Centers in Arrecife, opposite the San José Castle, will not be ready until 2028 due to administrative complications.

The bidding process for the works on the new main headquarters of the Cabildo's Art, Culture, and Tourism Centers, located in a building opposite the San José Castle in Arrecife, has been affected by administrative complications. Initially planned for this summer, the bidding is postponed, and it is estimated that the new facilities will not be operational until at least 2028.
The tender is expected to be announced in early autumn, with an award anticipated for early 2027. The execution period for the works, which will last at least one year, will commence after the award. The initial budget for this project was estimated at 2 million euros.
The building to be renovated, purchased in 2024 for approximately 1.42 million euros, has over 800 square meters of usable space and is designed to accommodate around 70 professionals.
A return to the former headquarters on Triana Street has been ruled out, so the entity will continue to use the rented premises in a warehouse next to the road between Arrecife and San Bartolomé.
These new offices will aim to respect the legacy of César Manrique, integrating respect for the environment, the use of local materials, connection with natural light, and vegetation, which are fundamental pillars of the artist's work, according to previous statements by the entity's CEO, Ángel Vázquez.
