The Antigua City Council has started a cleaning plan in Las Salinas del Carmen, responding to resident requests to improve the locality's image for the upcoming patron saint festivities.

At the request of the residents, the council has assigned a team of workers to carry out a comprehensive cleaning of the area. The goal is for the town to look its best during the celebration of its patron saint festivities.
The tasks include removing accumulated vegetation and waste, as well as cleaning streets and other public spaces. The Canarian ball courts are also being conditioned.

The Councilor for Cleaning, Waste, and Festivities, Lucila Ruiz, detailed that the cleaning includes removing vegetation from green areas, clearing palm tree pruning debris, and general garbage removal.
