The facility, which began construction in 2025, was interrupted due to technical and administrative problems with the original contractor. This situation required the regional administration to carry out an administrative regularization process before the project could be continued.
According to information provided by the Department of Education, the regional executive is currently working on the procedures for a new tender. Current forecasts estimate that work could restart by the end of 2026, with the goal of having the project fully completed between March and April 2027.
Municipal representatives have welcomed the regional government's willingness to unblock this infrastructure, which is considered essential for local families. Both institutions have agreed to maintain open communication to continuously monitor the progress and ensure that the construction does not face further delays.
