The Valverde City Council has announced the launch of a special bus service on September 24th, coinciding with the Feast of Nuestra Señora de los Reyes. The main objective of this initiative is to facilitate citizens' travel to the Sanctuary of Los Reyes, with special attention to the elderly residents of the municipality, according to Social Services Councilor, Cristina Brosed.
The bus route will begin at 8:15 AM from Guarazoca, with intermediate stops in Erese, Mocanal, Valverde, Isora, and San Andrés, where it is expected to arrive around 8:45 AM. It will then continue its journey to the Hermitage of Nuestra Señora de los Reyes, with an arrival planned sufficiently in advance to attend the solemn mass at 11:00 AM, which will be presided over by Bishop Don Eloy.
The return service is scheduled for 2:30 PM from the Hermitage. The bus will follow the reverse route, passing through the same towns where passengers boarded.
The mayor of Valverde, Carlos Brito, highlighted the importance of this measure, stating, "We want to make it easier for our residents, and especially our elders, to participate in a date so important for all the people of El Hierro, ensuring that transportation does not become a difficulty."
