The Cabildo de El Hierro has unveiled an innovative digital platform designed to boost the audiovisual industry on the island, streamlining filming management and attracting national and international productions.

This initiative, led by the El Hierro Film Commission, seeks to optimize coordination with the sector and position the island as a competitive destination for filmmaking. The website, available in Spanish and English, provides a quick guide for producers, a service directory, and a catalog of locations.
This technical office will centralize permit management, coordinate necessary services, and promote the hiring of local resources, with the goal of generating significant economic impact on the island. The organization's management highlighted the importance of this tool for channeling industry requests.

"It was necessary to have a tool of this nature to channel industry requests and position ourselves within the sector, because it allows us to structure the island's offerings and place El Hierro where it needs to be: as a competitive destination in the film industry."

The portal also includes information on accommodation, transport, and the tax incentives currently in force in the Canary Islands for the audiovisual sector. Furthermore, it allows residents and companies interested in offering services related to cinematic activity, such as production, hospitality, or extras, to register.
