The call for applications, which will remain open until November 1st, is aimed at individuals with limited financial resources who need to carry out works to improve the habitability and safety conditions of their homes. Subsidies can reach up to €2,998 per application and will be paid in a single installment.
Eligible works include the repair of leaks and dampness, improvement of thermal insulation, repair of water, electricity, and sanitation systems, as well as works to ensure the safety, stability, ventilation, lighting, and sanitary services of the property.
The Councilor for Housing, Rosmen Quevedo, has encouraged potential beneficiaries to inquire about the requirements and submit their applications. "With these grants, we want to lend a hand to those most in need and help them live in adequate conditions of safety and habitability," stated the councilor.
To access these grants, applicants must be registered residents in Arrecife for at least three consecutive years (unless justified exceptions apply), be the owner or legal heir, or have authorization from the owning public administration. The property must be over ten years old and present insufficient habitability conditions.
The family's income and compliance with other requirements established in the regulations will be assessed. Applications, which must include the budget for the planned works, can be processed preferably electronically or in person at the Arrecife City Council's registry offices.
The awarding of grants will be subject to the evaluation of each file, favorable technical and social reports, and the availability of budgetary credit. Works carried out before the application date will not be eligible. The full regulations and necessary documentation are available on the official channels of the Arrecife City Council.
