The city of Arrecife has officially inaugurated its new bowling and petanque court, a renovated and covered sports facility located next to several educational centers.

The official presentation of the new bowling and petanque court, located in Arrecife, took place on Tuesday afternoon. The space, which primarily borders Manolo Millares street, was attended by local authorities, club representatives, and the Insular Federation of Bowling Canaria and Petanca.
The renovation of the infrastructure began in early 2024, following an award made in 2022 for an amount of 700,000 euros. The project included several forced interruptions.
A notable feature is the self-supporting roof, which accounted for approximately one-fifth of the total budget. This structure provides shade and protection from the rain, as specified in the original technical project.
Additionally, the court has new restrooms and various areas for sports practice. Its location is highly visible, close to educational centers such as Antonio Zerolo school and Las Salinas institute, and faces Guenia and Manolo Millares streets.
