The maritime essence of Arrecife will have a prominent presence at the 37th Insular Craft Fair of Lanzarote. The institutional stand, located in Mancha Blanca, will showcase a display focused on the 'jolatero', a boat emblematic of local history.
The initiative, which opens its doors on September 10, includes 17 different 'jolateros'. Each of these small tin boats bears the name of one of Arrecife's 17 neighborhoods, thus achieving a complete and original representation of the city.

The Culture Councilor, Abigail González, visited the facilities to oversee the setup, highlighting the heritage value of the 'jolatero' and encouraging families to discover this exhibit.
The space aims to differentiate itself from a conventional exhibition, offering an interactive area. The 'jolateros' are displayed alongside shipbuilding elements such as ropes and portholes, inviting participation.
The main objective is for children to interact freely, climbing aboard the boats to use them as a fun photocall. Visitors will be able to take home a souvenir image linked to traditional children's games in the area, such as those at Charco de San Ginés or El Reducto beach.
This initiative seeks to convey Arrecife's maritime pride to new generations in an accessible and recognizable way.
