The initiative, which took place over the past weekend, was part of the Playa Honda 2026 Festivals program, promoted by the council's Festivals and Commerce departments. The gastronomic and leisure event has exceeded all expectations, consolidating the Urban Park as an ideal space for revitalizing the municipality.
The mayor of San Bartolomé, Isidro Pérez, highlighted the success of the event, congratulating the Festivals and Commerce teams, as well as the festival organization and all professionals involved in security, cleaning, and setup. Pérez described the initiative as "one of the most successful ventures of this term" and assured that attendees enjoyed a "different experience".
The participation of 15 establishments and restaurants from Lanzarote and other islands, specializing in gourmet burgers, was a major draw. The offering included vegan, gluten-free, sweet options, and craft beers, catering to all tastes.
During the festival, the best burgers of this first island edition were awarded. Mostazza took first prize, Smash Hub second, and Mamut secured the bronze medal and the audience award.
The councilors for Festivals, Estefanía Luzardo, and Commerce, Alma González, emphasized the joint work to promote a leisure experience linked to gastronomic products and to boost the festive program of Playa Honda.
