"Craftsmanship that brings joy!"

Just as the fire of volcanoes shaped the Canary Islands, flame forms the basis of extraordinary craftsmanship.

"Craftsmanship that brings joy!"

Working with glass is like magic: It can be molded and designed while it shines in the flame. After cooling, it achieves a strength that lasts forever, but it can also be fragile.

Doreen Jessensky completed her training in Lauscha (Germany), known as "the city of glassblowers", specializing in "glass design".

In 2017 Doreen and her husband Christian made their dream come true: since then they have been living on the island of Fuerteventura. She is the manager of her brand "ArteFuegoventura" and runs a workshop in the center of the island. In 2019 the Cabildo de Fuerteventura awarded her the Artisan's Card. "The tranquility, the climate and nature provide ample space for new inspirations and ideas, which I sketch on paper and then transform into works of art at the flame", she says, using high-quality glass rods from Murano, Lauscha and Reichenbach for the production of all her products.
Glass feathers, sculptures, pendants can be found in various boutiques in Fuerteventura, as well as at the Oasis-Wildlife agro-artisanal market where she attends every Sunday.
