The Hunting Department of the Cabildo of Fuerteventura has expressed its support for the APM Circuito Canario Club for its work in the continuous improvement of pointer dogs in the Archipelago. The entity promotes sports, the conservation of genetic lines, and the training of breeders and enthusiasts.
The championship, held across several islands, aims to foster excellence in the breeding, genetic selection, and development of dogs' natural aptitudes for field trial competition.
Carlos Rodríguez, the Hunting Councillor, highlighted the importance of these trials for the functionality and improvement of each breed's standards, promoting the catch-and-release hunting modality. He praised the club's track record and commitment.
The APM Circuito Canario Club thanked the Cabildo of Fuerteventura for its collaboration and support, as well as the Antigua Town Council, the Unión Antigua Hunters Society, the Island Hunting Federation, and the Morro Negro Shooting Range for their contribution to the growth of sports, cynophilia, and responsible hunting on the island.
