The Fuerteventura Island Tourism Board has presented its tourism offerings in Copenhagen and Stockholm, seeking to consolidate the high-value Nordic market. The return of TUI Nordic to the island from October 2026 with regular flights from three Scandinavian capitals is key to this strategy.

TUI Nordic will resume its operations on the island in April 2026, after a seven-year absence. Starting October 23, 2026, it will offer regular flights connecting Fuerteventura with Copenhagen, Stockholm, and Oslo. Specifically, there will be one weekly flight from Stockholm every Friday. Additionally, special flights have been scheduled from Copenhagen and Oslo to coincide with school holiday periods in Denmark and Norway, thereby expanding access to these source markets.
The presentations, held on September 2nd in Copenhagen and September 3rd in Stockholm, included the participation of hotel chains such as Coral Hoteles, Elba Hoteles, and Meliá Hoteles, who directly showcased their offerings to specialized travel agents. In Stockholm, management teams from TUI Nordic in Sweden (commercial, sales, marketing, and product) were present.
The interest in Nordic markets is based on the visitor's profile. In 2025, Swedish tourists averaged a spend of 1,547 euros per person and 166 euros daily, with an average stay of 9.3 nights. In 2026, Danish tourists recorded an average spend of 1,547 euros and a daily spend of 193 euros.

"These events in Copenhagen and Stockholm confirm that the Nordic market is a priority for Fuerteventura. We aim to consolidate visitors with higher added value who contribute to a more balanced and sustainable tourism model."
