The incident occurred around 11:23 AM, when the Canary Islands Government's Emergency and Safety Coordinating Center (CECOES) 112 received the alert about the collision. After classifying the call, the alert was transferred to the emergency and security services.
The Canary Emergency Service (SUC), along with Primary Care and the Local Police, responded to the scene. The SUC coordinator assigned a basic life support ambulance and activated the medical team from the health center in Puerto del Rosario.
Upon arrival, healthcare personnel assessed and treated the affected individuals. The 1-year-old minor sustained a serious prognosis trauma and was transferred by ambulance to the Fuerteventura General Hospital. The 46-year-old man suffered several minor contusions and was also taken to the same hospital.
Meanwhile, Local Police officers regulated traffic in the area and initiated the corresponding proceedings following the incident.
