The Government of the Canary Islands has ended the pre-alert status for rain in the islands of El Hierro, La Palma, La Gomera, Tenerife, and Gran Canaria, effective from 2:30 PM today, Wednesday, October 7.

The decision, announced by the Directorate General of Emergencies, is based on information provided by the State Meteorological Agency and other available sources. This action is implemented under the framework of the Specific Emergency Plan of the Canary Islands for Risks of Adverse Meteorological Phenomena (PEFMA).
The pre-alert is being concluded due to the cessation of the adverse weather conditions that initially justified its declaration.
