CANARIAS7 has launched a special edition for Canary Islands Day, offering a polyhedral perspective of the celebration through 66 testimonies gathered across the eight islands.

Aiming to reflect the plurality of an island territory, the newspaper CANARIAS7 has undertaken a journey across the eight islands of the archipelago. Journalists Iván Martín and Arcadio Suárez visited La Graciosa, Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, Gran Canaria, Tenerife, La Gomera, La Palma, and El Hierro to collect stories.
During their trip, they gathered testimonies from 66 island residents, who shared their experiences and feelings about the meaning of Canary Islands Day and 'canariedad' (Canarian identity). As part of this initiative, participants posed with a commemorative t-shirt designed by Informaciones Canarias Sociedad Anónima, the newspaper's publishing company, featuring the slogan 'Canarias en el corazón' (Canary Islands in the heart).
These reports are complemented by videos published online and on social media, summarizing the island tour. The content series began on May 23rd and concludes today, May 30th, with the publication dedicated to the island of Gran Canaria.
The initiative seeks to offer a diverse vision of the Canary Islands, highlighting how its archipelago status fosters a richness of accents, cultures, traditions, landscapes, sounds, smells, and flavors, all united by the common thread of what the archipelago represents.
