The music of Johann Sebastian Bach, which has transcended generations, will be the central theme of this event. More than three centuries after its creation, his compositions continue to captivate audiences and fill stages worldwide.
The concert, scheduled to begin at 7:30 PM, offers a journey through some of the most representative pieces of German Baroque music. The musical proposal will feature a Baroque ensemble of 16 musicians, led by Néstor Henríquez as concertmaster.
The program will not only include works by Johann Sebastian Bach but also compositions by his son, Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach, a key figure in the transition between the Baroque and Classical periods. The Las Palmas Symphony Orchestra thus tackles a repertoire of great technical complexity and expressive richness, designed to offer an intimate and refined musical experience.
The 'Eternal Bach' project is part of an initiative by the Las Palmas Symphony Orchestra that, since 2025, has toured various cultural venues in Gran Canaria, including the Basílica del Pino in Teror, the Centro Cultural Guaires in Gáldar, and the Centro Cultural de Santa Brígida. This proposal seeks to bring classical music and Baroque repertoire to different municipalities on the island with a pedagogical and artistically rigorous approach.
With over 25 years of experience in the Canarian cultural scene, the Las Palmas Symphony Orchestra is a non-profit collective that also advocates for and promotes professional musicians in the Canary Islands. The group is part of the Federation of Professional Musical Groups of Gran Canaria (FEDAMUPRO), alongside the Gran Canaria Wind Orchestra and the Gran Canaria Big Band. Tickets for the concert are priced at five euros.
