The La Regenta Art Center in Gran Canaria is holding a new edition of ‘La Regenta Escrita’, an initiative that facilitates access to publications about contemporary Canarian artists.

The exhibition space offers citizens a selection of exhibition catalogs published by the Government of the Canary Islands between 2003 and 2017, available for a symbolic price of 3 euros. The event will take place from August 4th to 8th.
This proposal brings together publications that are often difficult to find elsewhere and are part of the archipelago's exhibition history. They include research, curatorial texts, essays, and visual documentation from representative exhibitions held in the autonomous government's art centers.
The selected catalogs feature exhibitions by artists such as Adassa Santana (2016), Adrián Martínez (2011), Alfonso García (2016), Carlos Matallana (2011), Cristina Temes (2010), Emilia Martín Fierro (2009), Félix Juan Bordes (2016), Joaquín Artime (2016), Juan Luis Alzola (2016), Luis Kerch (2016), Luna Bengoechea (2016), Martín y Sicilia (2017), Moneiba Lemes (2015), Paco Sánchez (2003), and Gonzalo González (2016).
Sales will take place at the exhibition hall of the La Regenta Art Center, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM and from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. On Saturday, the center will only be open in the morning.
Through this initiative, La Regenta emphasizes the exhibition catalog as a tool for research, conservation, and dissemination of contemporary art, serving as a valuable record of artistic creation in the Canary Islands over recent decades.
