Renowned presenter Mercedes Milá has given an interview on the RTVE Play podcast ‘¡Menudo cuadro!’, where she discussed various aspects of her career, including her time on Telecinco, politics, and radio.
During the conversation, Milá disclosed that in the final editions of ‘Gran Hermano’, a show she hosted for over a decade, her earnings reached 60,000 euros per episode. She defended this figure, arguing that the reality show generated "much more" for the network.
The presenter also touched upon a personal anecdote from the show, denying having fallen in love with an interviewee but admitting to a "special connection" with Matías, an Argentine contestant from ‘GH 4’. "I had a little thing with one of the ‘GH’ contestants that I really liked, and we still write to each other," she confessed, adding that it was he who "pulled the reins".
In the political sphere, Milá reiterated her interest in interviewing the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, and praised his "resistance and resilience" against political pressure.
Regarding her new program on La 2, she previewed that one episode will be dedicated to Miguel Ángel Revilla, and that the former Cantabrian president will speak surprisingly about the emeritus king Juan Carlos I. Milá expressed her wish for the emeritus king himself to see this conversation and stated she would be willing to interview him without "any kind of veto".
Finally, Milá addressed the recent departure of Àngels Barceló from Cadena SER. She expressed her desire to speak with Barceló to understand what happened and defended Fran Llorente, expressing disbelief at reports linking him to the decision.
