The Broken Bones II: Elite MMA in Gran Canaria with 19 Fights

The Juan Beltrán Sierra pavilion in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria hosts this Saturday, September 19, the second edition of the mixed martial arts event The Broken Bones II, featuring 19 fights and four titles up for grabs.

Las Palmas de Gran Canaria is gearing up to buzz with The Broken Bones II, a prominent mixed martial arts (MMA) event taking place this Saturday, September 19, at the Juan Beltrán Sierra pavilion. The event aims to establish itself as a benchmark on the island, blending local talent with athletes from Spain, the Czech Republic, Brazil, Nigeria, and Morocco.
The event will kick off at 4:00 PM with preliminary fights, and the main professional card is expected to start around 7:00 PM. In total, 19 bouts will be contested: 17 MMA fights and two Grappling matches. Four championship belts will be on the line, two in the professional category and two in the amateur category, pitting champions, undefeated competitors, rising stars, and seasoned combat sports athletes against each other.
Among the main attractions are the two professional title fights. In the 70.3 kg category, Canarian fighter Kevin Perdomo will face Czech opponent Daniel Obracaj. In the 77.1 kg division, Brazilian fighter Max Alves will go head-to-head with fellow Canarian Juanma Suárez. Additionally, a women's Grappling bout will feature Canarian fighters Paola Pereyra and Ailín Santana.
Aridany Romero, Sports Minister of the Cabildo de Gran Canaria, highlighted the event's significance for local talent development and for consolidating Gran Canaria as a host for such large-scale spectacles. Meanwhile, Carla Campoamor, the City Council's Sports Councilor, emphasized the pride in supporting an initiative that promotes sports and the MMA culture in the city, encouraging youth participation.
Julio Santana, the event's promoter, expressed his satisfaction with the reception and The Broken Bones II's goal to serve as a high-level platform for national and international talents, fostering grassroots sports. He thanked the institutional support and that of collaborators.
The full fight card includes preliminary Grappling bouts and amateur categories, as well as professional fights and amateur and professional title bouts, bringing together athletes from various backgrounds and weight classes.
