Man Arrested in Icod de los Vinos for Suspected Drug Trafficking

The Civil Guard has arrested a 39-year-old man in Icod de los Vinos for an alleged crime against public health after he was caught conducting a drug transaction.

Agents from the main post in Icod de los Vinos noticed an individual exhibiting suspicious behavior near a hospitality establishment. Minutes later, they witnessed another person approach him, and they proceeded to conduct a transaction that appeared to involve narcotic substances.
The Civil Guards intercepted the alleged buyer, who was found to be carrying a substance that, pending confirmation, could be cocaine. A formal report was filed for possession of narcotics in a public area.

At the time of his arrest, he was carrying 785 euros in assorted bills.

Subsequently, the agents proceeded to arrest the alleged seller. The Civil Guard noted that the detainee has numerous prior police records for similar offenses. The man, along with the compiled proceedings, has been handed over to the competent judicial authority.
