The president of the island corporation, Casimiro Curbelo, pointed out that the end of the contracts marks the closure of a stage of learning and professional development, facilitating a first contact with the labor market for the beneficiaries and the application of their academic knowledge.
This initiative, developed in collaboration with the Canary Employment Service (SCE) and co-financed by the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+), has had an investment of 352,000 euros. Young people with degrees in Administration, Business Administration and Management (ADE), Law, and Social Work have performed duties linked to their respective professional profiles, complementing their work experience with training and mentoring.
This is the fourth edition of this program, whose objective is to facilitate initial work experience related to academic training. Throughout its various calls, the initiative has incorporated young people with different professional profiles into work areas of the island institution.
During the twelve months of the program, participants were part of the work teams in their assigned departments, collaborating on tasks specific to each service and gaining experience in a professional environment. The monitoring carried out during this period has allowed for guidance throughout their learning process and favored the practical application of acquired knowledge.
