The island of Lanzarote will experience a yellow alert due to high temperatures, which are expected to reach 36 degrees in locations such as Playa Honda, Puerto del Carmen, San Bartolomé, and Tías. In Arrecife and Costa Teguise, maximum temperatures will remain around 31 degrees due to the influence of the wind.
Nights will also be stifling, with minimum temperatures not dropping below 24 degrees. The wind, predominantly from the east or northeast, could bring light dust haze episodes, clouding the atmosphere. After strong gusts of up to 60 km/h recorded on Sunday, wind strength is expected to stabilize this week with maximum gusts of 30 km/hour.
This heat situation will persist in Lanzarote and the rest of the archipelago throughout the week, although atmospheric stabilization is anticipated as the days progress. Daily highs will not drop below 30 degrees until next Sunday, while minimums will range between 20 and 22 degrees.
