The Haría City Council has presented the project for the future 'Casa del Mayor' (Seniors' House), a new social space aimed at promoting active aging and community among the municipality's elderly population.

The initiative will transform a previously acquired property, undergoing comprehensive rehabilitation, located at Calle Fajardo nº 20. The goal is to create a modern, accessible, and functional center tailored to the needs of Haría's senior residents.
The 'Casa del Mayor' is envisioned as a key meeting point for older citizens, emphasizing community and social participation. It will feature multipurpose rooms designed to host training, cultural, and recreational workshops, gatherings, and programs.
These spaces aim to foster personal autonomy and encourage an active lifestyle among users. The center's design also includes common areas to promote socialization and incorporates universal accessibility, energy efficiency, and comfort criteria to ensure inclusive and sustainable use.
