The hospital's Gynecology and Obstetrics department has successfully performed three interventions, reducing fibroid size and alleviating associated symptoms.
Microwave ablation uses energy to apply heat in a controlled manner directly to the fibroid, destroying its cells. It is indicated for women of reproductive age with heavy bleeding and secondary infertility, after specialist evaluation.

The incorporation of this and other techniques is part of the growth of the Gynecology and Obstetrics service, which currently has 19 specialists and 11 nursing technicians, the highest number to date. The staff has been reinforced with three doctors and three nursing technicians compared to 2023, increasing care capacity.
