A four-year-old girl tragically passed away this Saturday after being rescued from a hotel swimming pool in Playa Blanca, Lanzarote, exhibiting signs of drowning.

The incident occurred around 1:30 PM when an alert was received stating that a minor requiring urgent medical assistance had been pulled from the water.
During the emergency call, a coordinating nurse provided telephone instructions to commence resuscitation maneuvers while the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) ambulances were en route.
Upon arrival, medical personnel continued advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation efforts. However, they were ultimately unable to reverse the cardiac arrest and confirmed the child's death.
Personnel from the Lanzarote Consortium for Security, Emergencies, Rescue, Prevention, and Fire Extinguishing, along with Local Police officers, secured the vicinity to facilitate the landing and subsequent takeoff of an activated medical helicopter.
Civil Guard agents have taken charge of the relevant investigation.
