The event took place at 07:09 AM this Sunday, when the 112 Canarias Emergency and Security Coordinating Center received an alert reporting that a person had fallen into a difficult-to-access rocky area.
Personnel from the Lanzarote Security and Emergency Consortium, the Canarian Emergency Service (SUC) with a medicalized ambulance and a basic life support ambulance, and local police officers were dispatched to the scene.
According to information from the Consortium, the affected individual fell from a height of about six meters in a rocky area near Puerto Calero, in the vicinity of the Hesperia Hotel. Upon arrival, firefighters conducted an initial assessment, noting a head cut and a possible hip injury.
Rescue teams immobilized the injured man with a cervical collar and specific equipment for rescues in difficult-to-access areas. Subsequently, they placed him on a basket stretcher and transported him to the ambulance.
SUC personnel attended to the man, who presented moderate contusions, and transferred him to the Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital. The Local Police took charge of the corresponding proceedings.
