The Barlovento City Council has allocated over 20,000 euros for the improvement of its educational centers, CEO Barlovento and CEIP La Cuesta, for the 2026/2027 academic year.

The Barlovento City Council has invested more than 20,000 euros in the upkeep and improvement of the municipality's school centers for the start of the 2026/2027 academic year. The allocated budget will allow for the hiring of a caretaker for CEO Barlovento and a dining assistant for CEIP La Cuesta, as well as various maintenance works in the schools, such as garden clearing, painting, and repairs to bathrooms and ceilings.
The mayor of Barlovento, Jacob Qadri, indicates that these actions “are essential to maintain the educational centers in good condition, so that children can attend classes in the best possible conditions for this new academic year which is about to begin”.
Furthermore, the Councilor for Education, Yesica Medina, explains that CEIP La Cuesta will have a renovated electrical installation this academic year, powered by solar panels. “This is another example of the Barlovento City Council's commitment to environmental awareness, as the use of these panels will help reduce emissions by utilizing less polluting energies,” she assures.
