The Department of Public Works, Housing, and Mobility, through the Canarian Housing Institute (ICAVI), has initiated the process for the execution of these 26 public promotion protected homes and their corresponding garage spaces in the municipality of Gáldar.
The development will be located on plot M-18 in El Roque, at José de Sosa street, with an estimated value of 5,084,525.48 euros. This project is part of a larger initiative that includes the construction of 126 public promotion protected homes in three municipalities of Gran Canaria, with 52 of them to be built in Gáldar.
These homes are part of Program 6 of the Recovery, Transformation, and Resilience Plan, focused on the construction of social rental housing in energy-efficient buildings. This program, funded by the European Union through Next Generation EU funds, aims to increase the public stock of energy-efficient homes for social or affordable rental.
The overall project for 126 protected homes in Gran Canaria has an estimated value of 26,258,717.45 euros (excluding IGIC) and is financed by the Canarian Housing Institute, the Consortium of Housing of Gran Canaria, and PRTR funds from the Spanish Government.
In addition to the 26 homes in El Roque, the plan includes another 26 in Gáldar, 45 in Santa María de Guía, and 21 in Casa Pastores and eight on Severo Ochoa street, both in Santa Lucía de Tirajana.
